Your hosts are Justin and Christa Hull, who split their time between North Vancouver and Gibsons. The cabin was originally built by Justin’s Grandparents, Jack and Sasha MacDonald in 1972. The family has been enjoying the property for decades as a space to retreat from the busy city and enjoy quality time together in nature. Christa is your main point of contact at Ocean Beach Retreat. She has more than a decade of experience both planning and participating in group gatherings, corporate and wellness retreats. Jack and Sasha MacDonald originally built a cedar lindal style cabin on the property in 1972. After decades of summertime use by three generations of family, the cabin underwent a major renovation that started in early 2017 and was completed in the spring of 2018. The project was truly transformational and the finished result is a beautiful beach house with many modern amenities and conveniences, yet the home still exudes the character and charm of the original vision from nearly 50 years ago.
